Plain-language version — last updated October 2026.

The short version

Spread Out! collects nothing about your child. There's no sign-up, no account, no ads, and nothing a kid does in the game is ever sent anywhere. Everything the game remembers (player names, jerseys, stars, best scores) is saved only in your own browser, on your own device — the same way a browser remembers a website you visited before. The only exception is a grown-up buying the full game: then we keep a small purchase record (see below).

What we collect

Nothing about players. Our server stores no information about who plays, how often, or how well. We don't use analytics, ad networks, or tracking pixels. The one thing we keep is the purchase record described under "If you buy the full game", and only when a grown-up buys it.

What's saved on your device

The game uses your browser's built-in storage (called "localStorage") to remember, only on the device you're playing on:

This information never leaves your device. It isn't sent to us or anyone else. Clearing your browser's site data, or using a private/ incognito window, will erase it.

Accounts and sign-in

There are none. Player profiles are just names you type in — not real accounts, no passwords, no email addresses, nothing verified.

Ads and third parties

No ads, ever. The game makes no calls to any outside service while you play — no analytics, no font downloads, no images from other websites. Once the page has loaded, it can even work with no internet connection at all.

If you buy the full game

The free copy of the game never asks for anything. If a grown-up buys the full game, the payment itself happens on Stripe's secure checkout page, not in the game. Stripe handles the card details and sends the receipt; we never see card numbers. Our server keeps one small record of the purchase (the email address used at checkout, the amount, and the date) so we can unlock the game on your devices and honor refunds, and it sets one sign-in cookie on the device that unlocked the game. No profile, score, or gameplay information is ever sent to us. Purchases are for parents and coaches; kids should not buy anything without a grown-up.

Purchases and refunds

The full game is a one-time purchase of $4.99 (USD). There is no subscription and nothing renews. It unlocks Where Do I Stand?, Mini Match!, unlimited levels, Coach Eric's recorded voice, and Coach Corner on every device where you sign in with your purchase.

30-day money-back guarantee: if you're not happy for any reason, email Artcorner@me.com within 30 days of buying, with the email address you used at checkout, and we'll refund you in full. No questions asked. Once a refund is issued, the full game locks again on all devices.

Kids and COPPA

Spread Out! is designed for children roughly ages 6–12. We collect no personal information from children: nothing a child types or does in the game ever leaves the device. The only personal information we receive is a grown-up's email address at checkout, and we use it only to confirm the purchase and handle refunds. We never sell or share it. We built it this way on purpose.

Changes to this page

If this policy ever changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Since the game collects nothing from kids today, any future change that added data collection would be a big change — and we'd make that very clear.
